Our Story

A new dawn for
timeless storytelling

Punarudaya Studios was founded on a simple belief: that powerful stories can cross languages, cultures and borders. We develop cinema and entertainment that carry emotional truth, cultural identity and universal human connection — work that feels unmistakably rooted, and equally at home anywhere in the world.

The name Punarudaya draws from two ideas. Punar — echoing Punarbhava and Punarvasu — speaks of renewal and return. Udaya means a new dawn, and is drawn from the name of our founder, Uday Bhaskar. Together, they describe what this studio exists to do: help stories, and the people who tell them, rise again.

The emblem carries that meaning forward — a quiet, personal reference to Uday Bhaskar and his twins, reimagined as a mark of renewal at the centre of everything the studio makes.
